How do you incorporate customer insights into the product life cycle?

From concept development through to product improvement and product purchase and ongoing support? Many companies have incorporated it but there is still plenty of runway for improvement.

As you can imagine, technology and media companies lead the charge in utilizing customers in co-creation and crowdsourcing. But it’s the CPG businesses that surprisingly do not engage with their customters to such a high degree across ALL stages of the product life cycle. What’s your view?
