In the ramp up for advertising and research revenue, Twitter has chosen to force clients to align with their standards and enforce the use of their suggestions and trending topics? This is the early stages of a rampant start up becoming a vested corporation with revenue at its core. However, this runs against many of the “brand” reasons that Twitter had amazing popularity – it was open, it was free, it was able to be about me. Evidently this is now not the case. So will we witness the decay and exit of millions in the coming months or sit back and laugh that such foolish thoughts were touted by the likes of scare mongers like me.
