Jobs response is excessively confident, dramatically accurate and hopelessly adequate? This is going to be fun. Nice comeback from Apple if the response “we don’t track anyone” is genuine. All that chatter about the world and we are sated by one line. Or may be not. Here’s the thing, we’re not going to be shocked, stunned, horrified, chaffed by Google grabbing data and doing all things hyper tech – it’s their business and we kinda of give them license to be that. But the Apple in my eye. I don’t give you permission to do that spy/under the hood stuff.
Q: Steve,
Could you please explain the necessity of the passive location-tracking tool embedded in my iPhone? It’s kind of unnerving knowing that my exact location is being recorded at all times. Maybe you could shed some light on this for me before I switch to a Droid. They don’t track me.
A: Oh yes they do. We don’t track anyone. The info circulating around is false.
