Life of a bike chained to a post in Manhattan for 365 days

Great idea from Red Peak. Chain it up and watch it gradually erode part by part (taking a photograph every day). Theirs an analogy in this somewhere that’s relevant for business and brands. Or is it just me and my fixation?
The pick up has been great so far – NBC New York, Gothamist,, Village Voice, Swiss Miss, Disciples of Design, The Egotist, The East Village Grieve. Here’s the calendar they created from it:
