Embattled Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson will step down after a controversy over a fake computer-science degree on his bio, All Things D reports.

The company is set to say he is leaving for personal reasons.

Thompson’s likely interim replacement will be Yahoo’s global media head Ross Levinsohn.
