Just weeks ago Gadafi held the world to ransom with Libya’s 2% of the world’s oil supply, forcing the IAE to flood millions of barrels of oil into the market to keep stability. Now Boehner and his cabal are attempting to hold America ransom with 2% from the inside. Republicans want an 85%-15% split between spending cuts and tax increases and the Democrats are offering 83%-17% i.e. 2 points difference!
In the words of your great Republican fore bear, Abraham Lincoln, “I have often been forced to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that there was no place else to go.” Please do not let America bleed anymore than she need. This situation is a threat to a fragile economic recovery and I expect this action will contribute further calls to dislodge the dollar as the international currency and ensure a harder landing for the people you supposedly represent.
